In this live action series adaptation, it is the summer of 1996 in London, and teenagers Nick, Mia, Elton, and Simon are living their normal lives playing Dungeons and Dragons every weekend in Simon’s attic. But, their whole world is turned upside-down when a tall man in a hoodie starts to follow Nick around. Even more unusual, Nick and his friends have also been mysteriously receiving CDs with a female voice instructing him to do certain tasks, with one CD revealing a haunting message: they need to follow her instructions in order to save Nick, who is dying from cancer.

Discovering that Nick has a terminal illness and understanding that this is the only way they can save him, Nick and his friends find themselves in a race against time to unravel an impossible mystery to save Nick.
