LA FEMME NOIR

An animated “Sex and the City”-type romance series based on Nicholle Kobi’s Instagram drawings, featuring Black women from around the world.

The show follows the stories of black women from across the globe who are brought together by a DNA test result that shows they all have the same father. It showcases the diverse experiences black women have, featuring Simone, an Afro-Parisian artist, Jamila, a single mother in Brooklyn, and Shay, a Toronto-based graffiti artist.

The series is written by Yvette Foy, whose credits include work on “First Wives Club,” a BET+ series.

BET+ has commissioned a pilot script, Bible, and look book.
