An adaptation of Emelie Schepp's international bestseller Marked for Life that tells the story of Jana Berzelius, a brilliant and complex prosecutor who can't remember anything from her childhood before she was adopted at age 9. While investigating the death of a prominent figure in her community, she follows a trail that leads to a dead young boy who has a tattoo on the back of his neck similar to her own.
